Hello, I'm using xmms2 currently, love this tool, but it keeps telling me that it won't be supported anymore and I should install nyxmms2. Well, there is no package in emerge tree. Please add it to the tree. Reproducible: Always
The URL says you should use the (included?) nyxmms2 executable.
lindev, message means the cli tool is deprecated, not thexmms2 package itself. We build nyxmms2 (mentioned by your link) unconditionally. Plase, check if it builds and works for you. You can also follow an advice given by it and disable annoying message: > This program is deprecated and will be replaced by nyxmms2. > Consider setting runnycli to 'true' in config file to get future behaviour > (or set iknowoldcliisdeprecatedandwillgoaway to 'true' to hide this warning) > The config file is located at: > /home/slyfox/.config/xmms2/clients/cli.conf
