Oops, bug id #2819 is also regarding the "Kinput2", but 2819 is for
Canna and 3656 for Wnn.

Canna and Wnn are two of the most famous Kana-Kanji conversion engine
in Japanese/UNIX people.

If you need to merge 2819 and 3656, please let me ([e-mail]) know.

I'm testing kinput2 for canna, can you create a merged version for both wnn and
canna?

If you can post it I'll get it in ASAP

hi, i'm the creator of the kinput-canna ebuild #2819.
do we want to merge the two ebuilds, or have two separate
kinput2-canna and kinput2-wnn ebuilds?

i don't particularly care either way, as long as i can
install kinput2 without wnn. if we merge, we need some
way of specifying a dependency on either canna OR wnn.

maybe a virtual "kana-conversion" package?

New revision of kinput2 added to portage tree.
To choose between Canna and FreeWnn add "canna" and/or "freewnn" to
/etc/Make.conf  USE flags, or add useflags prior to emerge
ie
USE="canna" emerge kinput2  -- will emerge kinput2 with Canna support
USE="freewnn" emerge kinput2 -- will emerge kinput2 with FreeWnn support
USE="canna freewnn" emerge kinput2 -- will emerge with support for both

If no flags are used kinput2 will default to Canna
