Hi Sven,

I just finished reinstalling my Athlon64 X2 system and have a small addition
to the handbook.

My system is 64-bit, I disabled IA-32 emulation in the kernel and I'm using a
non-multilib profile. Also, I've got a GUID Partition Table, which requires
using Grub2. I'm using version 1.99_rc1.

It boots just fine, so the yellow warning can be amended to say that it
doesn't apply to Grub2.

Thanks!
"""

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Install gentoo on amd64 with no-multilib.
Install grub2
Actual Results:
Boots just fine.

Expected Results:
Would not boot (cfr. message in handbook)

Currently, grub2 is not marked stable yet, but perhaps we could already bundle the appropriate bugreports (resolve as LATER) on a tracker for when this would happen?
Comment 2 nm (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-05-01 02:08:03 UTC
Not stable, not even keyworded for any arches, much less out of p.mask. Not gonna happen any time soon, sorry.

This is actually a dupe of another grub2 bug; I just can't find it right now.
