Just a quick update - I've got what I think is a working ebuild for 7.5.4 and am just looking at fixing bug#334843 at the same time now that OpenRC has gone stable.

Joe, I believe I've got a 7.5.4 ebuild together now, which also addresses bug#334843. It's in my github here:

https://github.com/hickinbottoms/squeezecenter-ebuild-for-gentoo/tree/7.5.4

The important changes are:
* the 7.5.4 ebuild (of course)
* the files/squeezeboxserver.init.d script (to resolve bug#334843)
* the files/build-modules-7.5.4.sh
* the 7.5.4 patches

I've only tested this with the newly-stable baselayout-2 and therefore I've added a DEPEND to ensure baselayout-2 is present. At a pinch I could look at making it compatible with bl-1 and bl-2 if that's really necessary.
