We should research the viability of making repoman generate a warning or even error when a package that is to be added to CVS has more than one keyword specified. In most cases that happens because someone forgot to remove all the keywords that were previously on the package. I think that this mistake gets made too often. And it should be easy to check for repoman
Personally I'm not much for this; repoman is a QA tool, it's not meant to protect devs from doing dumb things, just automate a set of checks they should be doing (ensuring all deps are available for a set arch fex)
agreed
Putting a hold on feature requests for portage as they are drowning out the bugs. Most of these features should be available in the next major version of portage. But for the time being, they are just drowning out the major bugs and delaying the next version's progress. Any bugs that contain patches and any bugs for etc-update or dispatch-conf can be reopened. Sorry, I'm just not good enough with bugzilla. ;)
