The only file I have in that dir is gdu.monitor, so check if gvfs[gdu] helps.
Comment 3 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-04-27 06:52:17 UTC
could you paste the output of emerge -pv glib gvfs gobject-introspection ?

Comment 5 Christoph Mende (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-04-27 19:18:13 UTC
according to portagefilelist.de that directory is also populated by USE=gphoto2 (gphoto2.monitor) and USE=ios (afc.monitor).
So using one of these USE flag fixes/hides the problem, but I'd say the real fix is to make sure that gvfs creates that directory on install if it doesn't exist.

Actually, the solution lies in figuring out why gobject-introspection does access that dir in the first place.

Though if gvfs tries to access that dir in one of its libs/progs and doesn't *gracefully* fail in case it's gone, it should be reported upstream.
Comment 7 Christoph Mende (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-05-04 20:55:30 UTC
After reading your comment I'm not even sure it's related to gvfs anymore. The same error about that dir missing is there several times in the build.log.
Comment 8 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2011-06-26 09:58:59 UTC
Maybe you should report this to upstream -> bugzilla.gnome.org (under "glib" product, component "introspection")
Comment 9 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2011-07-15 12:18:09 UTC
Are you still suffering this problem? In that case, maybe compiling it with V=1 make option could help to know where is exactly occurring the failure
Comment 10 Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2011-07-16 12:25:37 UTC
no, atm I can't reproduce.
Comment 11 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2011-07-17 13:28:26 UTC
Will close for now as I cannot neither reproduce on none of my machines
