From http://www.freedesktop.org/Software/xrestop: Xrestop uses the X-Resource extension to provide 'top' like statistics of each connected X11 client's server side resource usage. It is intended as a developer tool to aid more efficient server resource usage and debug server side leakage. It should work with any server supporting the X-Resource extension ( fd.o server and XFree86 4.3+, 'xdpyinfo|grep Resource' should tell you if your server has it ). Attached is ebuild for it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

ebuilds works well thanks the only odd thing during compilation is : checking for x11... Package x11 was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `x11.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable No package 'x11' found but i suppose XFree never had such a pkg-config .pc file. might be because xrestop supports both XFree and freedesktop X server (which installs this .pc file) anyway, works well with standard XFree 4.3
Right, XFree86 doesn't install x11.pc; that only comes from libX11 on xlibs.freedesktop.org. I'm thinking this bug should go to desktop-misc, unless someone (Seemant?) wants us to keep it.
bah, it was late at night when I assigned this -- desktop-misc it is. Catch, tseng
In CVS, Thanks.
