Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge mail-filter/qmail-scanner
Actual Results:

mail-filter/qmail-scanner-2.08 was built with the following:
USE="spamassassin -clamav"
Comment 4 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2011-04-19 17:29:46 UTC
it's probably running `mount`. i cant think of any reason why qmail-scanner would need to do that in src_* steps ...
Comment 5 Heavenly Avenger 2011-04-19 19:20:07 UTC
indeed it runs 'mount' to check whether the filesystem in which qmail-scanner is being installed has the 'nosuid' flag. It requires the wrapper or perl script to have suid' bit to the email user in order to be executed correctly.

A strong candidate of offending code:
work/qmail-scanner-2.08/configure: lines 685 to 701
#Sanity check that suid is allowed on the Qmail "/bin" partition
QMNT=`df $BINDIR|head -n 2|tail -n -1|awk '{print $1}'`
SUIDSTATUS=`mount|egrep "^$QMNT "|grep nosuid`
if [ "$SUIDSTATUS" != "" ]; then
        cat<<EOF

            *** FATAL ERROR ***

As far as I can tell, $BINDIR is mounted on a nonsuid file partition ($QMNT).

This means even Qmail will not operate correctly!

Please sort out your system before trying to install this...

EOF
        exit 1

Comment 6 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2011-04-30 03:00:49 UTC
right, that sort of check makes absolutely no sense in an ebuild's src_*. so it needs to get patched out.
Comment 7 Sergiy Borodych 2011-10-08 14:58:34 UTC
same bug for mail-filter/qmail-scanner-2.05 at amd64
Comment 8 Paweł Hajdan, Jr. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-11-27 09:14:11 UTC
Sandbox violation sitting there for 7 months. Please fix, this is making arch testing significantly harder and slower.
