The ifplatform package contained in dev-texlive/texlive-latexextra-2010-r1 is incompatible with LuaTEX and should be updated:

then I’d dearly like to know how it happened. It should never occur, as
far as I know. (Update: in previous versions of this package, this message
appeared when running under LuaTEX.)

Replacing ifplatform.sty with a recent one solved the issue.
