The wiki at https://ieee1394.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Juju_Migration recommends using the latest stable version of libdc1394-2.1.3 with newer cameras
The latest version available in portage is libdc1394-2.1.2
Please upgrade the package to the latest recommended version.

emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "=media-libs/libdc1394-2.1.3"


On a related note, there is a package from AVT (AVTFire4Linux: http://www.alliedvisiontec.com/fileadmin/content/PDF/Software/AVT_software/zip_files/AVTFire4Linux3v0.src.tar ) which adds some features/enhancements to the standard libdc1394 library (see http://www.alliedvisiontec.com/fileadmin/content/PDF/Software/AVT_software/AVT_Release_Notes/Fire4Linux_ReleaseNotes10062010.pdf).  Can we get an ebuild for that please? Please let me know if I should file a separate request.
