Upgraded KDE from 4.4.5 to 4.6.2. The installation went fine, but the kde application menu is now empty. All other K-menus (Favorites, ...) are there. Probably related to this, the file association list is empty: a click on a txt file does not open kwrite anymore, for instance. Instead, it opens the "open with..." window, with an empty "known applications". Workaround: running kbuildsycoca4 -noincremental as user solved the problem.
