it would be great if someone could integrate the alsa bluetooth headset driver from http://www.dcs.gla.ac.uk/~jp/snd-bluez-sco/ into the alsa ebuilds. with this driver it is possible to use one's bluetooth headset as an i/o sounddevice. in combination with for example cvoicecontrol it could be a great remote control. ;-) thx in advanced! i got this mail today from the author of the headset driver. could someone please make an ebuild for this? ------------------------ Hello, I have updated the snd-bluez-sco driver to work with Linux 2.6.4. It's now called snd-bt-sco. You can find more info on the following web page: http://www.dcs.gla.ac.uk/~jp/snd-bt-sco/ Please note that I am unable to provide support for this software. Please use the community resources (such as mailing lists) to get help from other people how have had success. Good luck! [This message has also been bcc-ed to people who have expressed interest in a 2.6 port]
Seeing as how I don't have the headset to test it out, I can't verify that an ebuild works. If you were to create the ebuild and test it out, I would commit it after testing that it atleast compiles and installs "sanely".
mh...ok, time to get knowledge of creating ebuilds. ;-) i'll see, whether i have time in the next days.
so... how's the ebuild coming? =)
well, sorry, i did not had the time to make an ebuild. at the moment i am not at home...i hope i will have the time in two weeks or so. does anyone else has time to do the ebuild?
setting cantfix. please reopen if you make an ebuild.
