Description Dizzy 2003-12-22 03:26:11 UTC
Hi

In a fresh 1.2.9 unpacked source directory:
$ grep -ir libpcap *
$ grep -ir pcap *

So what exactly is that dependency for anyway ? Was it for capabilities and libcap ? Even so proftpd comes with its own libcap version and doesnt use system's (as from my understanding of it's configure.in).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

okay... here's the scoop... back in release 1.2.5 proftpd depended on libpcap... now it doesn't anymore... I have removed the dependancy from the 1.2.9 build and the non-needed src_unpack() section
