New version (actually fixes a very annoying problem). Reproducible: Always
Just saw this in portage, but in a case of ironic timing, it (including all previous versions) no longer works. The facts: Youtube changed their backend so that youtube-dl no longer works (see https://github.com/rg3/youtube-dl/issues/135 for details). Someone has committed a patch (see https://github.com/phihag/youtube-dl/commit/0ac22e4f5a652f1b470f9daff06c1361e8f93c16 for information about the patch) to a private fork (see https://raw.github.com/phihag/youtube-dl/master/youtube-dl for the latest version of the fork). The owner of youtube-dl has not touched it in over four months. It is unclear to me if and when the fix will get pulled back to the master branch and a release made from the master branch. I don't what the gentoo policy is for handling this (or how you prefer to handle it if you have discretion), but I am bumping this up to high, since no version currently in the portage tree functions at all (as far as youtube goes). They might as well all be deleted.
2011.08.04 has just been released and works again.
