Description Yi Quang (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-20 16:57:33 UTC
The tarball that's mirrored on gentoo mirrors is a dud. The galeon team has released a fixed tar ball that's available at sourceforge, it's named galeon-1.3.11a-fixed.tar.bz2. The ebuild works fine otherwise. I suggest to either release a r1 or just push the updated tarball to all the mirrors.

.11a didnt merge for me without this tarball
Comment 2 Lindsay Haisley 2003-12-21 19:05:40 UTC
I downloaded galeon-1.3.11a-fixed.tar.bz2, put it in the portage source tree as
galeon-1.3.11a.tar.bz2, recalculated the digest, and it built without a hitch :-)

I think spider fixed this already in the tree, upstream used a bit borky intltool. No need to redownload really.

do rsync & retry to make sure though ;)
Comment 5 Lindsay Haisley 2003-12-22 06:24:45 UTC
I'll check, but when I tried it yesterday the ebuild tripped on the intltool
error reported on the galeon-devel lists, so I d'loaded the fixed version from
sourceforge and it worked OK. Don't have time to rsync now, but gentoo should
have gone to r1 on this fix (even if the upstream galeon people consider "fixed"
to be the equiv of a minor version number bump ;-)
