One Wire Weather (oww) is a project to communicate with the Dallas 1-wire weather station and other 1-wire sensors.  This client software allows you to access weather information from any One Wire Weather system, allowing remote access to the weather data from machines not running oww.

Hard for a developer to maintain such an ebuild without having access to the hardware.

You could consider sponsoring a 1-Wire Weather Station to a Gentoo developer...

We can't really support this without the needed hardware.
