when i open svgview i see an error message like:

XML parsing error: 'no element found' at line 1


is expected?

Same here on x86, otherwise it looks good to go.

Yeah I forgot upstream has some bizarre ideas about how programs should only be run from their source folders... (?!)

I put some svg images up @ http://dev.gentoo.org/~dirtyepic/pkgs/wxsvg/ to test with.
