Please restore the latest xen 3.x series version, which has been removed (I guess it has been part of an "remove all unstable ebuilds, except latest"-cleanup). Currently, 3.4.2 is stable. Only other available version is 4.1.0 (unstable). I'm having serious troubles with xen 4.x and newer kernels. I have to stick with xen-3* and xen-sources-2.6.18*. I would suggest, to stabilize latest xen 3.x instead of just dropping everything above 3.4.2 in the 3.x series. Reproducible: Always
+1 for bringing 3.4.3 back and stabilizing it for people still on Xen-3.4.x I've upgraded my servers from 3.4.2 to Xen-3.4.3 in august 2010, running with a mix of PV linux guests, HVM linux guests, HVM windows guests, without any problem so far. For Sven and anyone else interested, I've been running dom0 on xen-sources-2.6.31-r11 for ~10 months spanning xen-3.4.2 and xen-3.4.3, and I'm on xen-sources-2.6.34-r4 since late april 2011, on my 4 different x86_64 servers without any problem. I find those kernels to be stable for me. I can't re-emerge xen-3.4.3 and xen-tools-3.4.3 since they're not in portage, and that is a problem since we have not yet upgraded from python-2.6 to python-2.7. I would have marked this bug as CRITICAL.
Note that you can always retrieve old ebuilds from CVS: http://sources.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/gentoo-x86/app-emulation/xen/?hideattic=0
