 Scroll about half the log back.

/usr/include/akonadi/itempayloadinternals_p.h:28:32: error: boost/shared_ptr.hpp: No such file or directory
/usr/include/akonadi/itempayloadinternals_p.h:29:41: error: boost/type_traits/is_same.hpp: No such file or directory

Does 'eselect boost' help ?
Comment 3 Etaoin Shrdlu 2011-04-01 14:02:48 UTC
I did

# eselect boost list
Available boost versions:
  [1] boost-1.42/default *

so it looked like there was nothing to do, but just in case I did

# eselect boost set 1
Removing symlinks from old version
Creating symlinks for boost-1.42/default

which must have done something because then I tried reemerging pykde4, and it completed. However, I'm still puzzled by the HUGE amount of warnings that are produced during the compilation. Is that the way it's supposed to be?

OK great.

Unfortunately yes.
