Description Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2011-03-31 10:44:55 UTC
After buying a DeskJet 2050 J510 series printer I noticed xsane was being closed when trying to do the following (even if it worked fine with my old PSC 1610 printer):
1. Launch xsane
2. Set resolution to 1200 (maximum)
3. Get a "preview"
4. Select a region
5. Click on "scan"

-> xsane is closed with exit status 0:

$ echo $?
0

Comment 1 Andreas K. Hüttel archtester gentoo-dev 2012-01-24 22:35:05 UTC
Is this still a problem with current versions of hplip?
Comment 2 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2012-01-25 09:17:43 UTC

Comment 3 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2012-01-25 09:18:10 UTC
I am running 3.11.12-r1
Comment 4 Daniel Pielmeier gentoo-dev 2012-02-08 20:04:49 UTC
I guess hplip-3.12.2 does not fix it?
Comment 5 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2012-02-09 07:43:10 UTC
It's the same :(
Comment 6 Daniel Pielmeier gentoo-dev 2012-11-13 18:55:25 UTC
I recently bought a HP Photosmart 6510 with fax capabilities. I am not able to reproduce your problems. Scanning with xsane works fine here even with high resolutions.
Comment 7 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2012-11-13 19:57:14 UTC
I don't have now that HP printer, then, I cannot test :S
