xchat-2.0.6-r1 has shows a lot of warnings while compiling, especially while compiling plugins. xhcat cannot load the perl.so properly, but can load tcl and python plugins. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. "X-Chat" menu: Load Plugin or Script... 2. try to load any perl script 3. "Window" menu: Plugins or Scripts 4. try to load "/usr/lib/xchat/plugins/perl.so Actual Results: this happens, if i try to load a perl plugin in xchat (manually): Unknown file type /home/nt/.xchat2/away.pl. Maybe you need to install the Perl or Python plugin? has been resolved with the last perl version. seems i just needed to unmerge and emerge perl again.
