emerge --info output

Init script /etc/init.d/serial owned by sys-apps/setserial-2.17-r4 tries to load a kernel module for serial port support.

It loads module “serial” but to my knowledge there is no such module for serial port in linux.  The most standard module, for on-board serial ports is “8250” (which autoloads the “serial_core” module as dependency).

ive dropped the modprobe.  there are too many drivers to cater to.
