Description Nikos Chantziaras 2011-03-25 16:09:31 UTC
After updating from firefox-4.0 to 4.0-r1, the Firefox icon is gone. In KDE, when going to "Applications->Internet->Mozilla Firefox", the entry is just blank; there's no icon.

Reproducible: Always

Here is /var/db/pkg/www-client/firefox-4.0-r1/CONTENTS. How do I get the build log? In other words, how do I tell emerge not to delete it after an emerge?

We're installing the icons correctly, something is wrong on the KDE side of things.

There's no such file or directory here :-/

Relogin or that kbuildsyoca should be enough.

Test it with new User Account

delete
 ~/.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu
that helps by my other System.

No such file either.

In a new user account, the icon is displayed. But that doesn't solve the problem. I need the icon in my current user account, not in a new one!

Some corrupted cache issue. Clear your /var/tmp/kdecache-$USER$ directory, then restart kde

I owe you one. This fixed the issue. Thank you very much!
