build log for marble 4.6.1

Marble failing to compile due to missing libgpsmm.h. On checking gpsd does not supply this file
,this is gpsd-2.95, the previous version on my system gpsd-2.35-r1 ebiuld does make mention o
of this file being installed, but will have to RR 2.95 to get it installed ,with all the hassles tha will
evoke. As this is a fresh install I may go back and doso. in the meantime can
someone have a look at why this (obsolete ) file is being used in a latest update.

Tried the R&R of gpsd, but that also failed due to not being able to install to
2 different versions of python

I wonder if gpsd needs to built with some particular useflag, because gpsd-2.95 was specifically reported as the right version for marble (bug 340463)
Comment 5 Kevin McCarthy (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-03-25 12:15:50 UTC
Rebuilding gpsd with USE="qt4" fixed this error for me.
Comment 6 Geoff Madden 2011-03-26 14:56:58 UTC
Thanks for that bit of info Kevin, worked for me also, now all I have todo is find out why I keep getting shunted back to the login screen. Which I think has been reported before,so a bit of searching is coming up.

Thanks for reporting that gpsd with USE=qt4 solves the problem -- assigning to KDE team
Comment 8 Tomáš Chvátal (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-03-27 10:00:19 UTC
Fixed in overlay, will propagate with 4.6.2 to main tree.
