Please post your `emerge --info' too. Also, what overlay would that be?
Comment 3 Steev Klimaszewski (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-03-22 03:46:11 UTC
Does this happen every single time you attempt to fetch it? Connection reset by peer isn't anything we can fix on our end, that means there was a connection issue with upstream (clutter's git server) and the only thing I know of is to try again.

The git repo uri is correct, this is a problem on your end.
Comment 5 tman 2011-03-22 13:26:15 UTC
i can not confirm its solved, i have tried and its still not able to dowload.

or the ebuild has a problem in general:

doing this is the best way to get everyone upset. Please check by other means than using this ebuild that you have no problem in connecting to this address. Use git by hand, ping, telnet, etc, to reach the service.
Comment 7 Nirbheek Chauhan (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-03-23 05:32:01 UTC
clutter-9999.ebuild has been removed from the tree, there is no need to have it there anymore.
Comment 8 tman 2011-03-23 17:37:50 UTC
it seem to be there again in gnome overlay
Comment 9 tman 2011-03-23 22:13:03 UTC
i have spoken in irc: IRC: Join irc.gnome.org:#gnome-shell to participate in daily discussions or get help with running, developing, or designing for the GNOME Shell.

i got the confirmation of some ppl there that there are really a problem with the git of clutter.

yes the ebuild is ok and the link to git is also fine, but this git server has a problem.

so i will let this bug open. i hope

Excellent, thanks for investigating. This is not a problem we can solve.
