Description Otavio Piske (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-16 09:42:24 UTC
Hellow guys, this ebuild is a small modification I did to xchat-2.0.6-r1 ebuild in such a way that xchat can be compiled with icc.
Please note that I used icc 8.0 as provided in bug 35602 (http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35602).

Comment 2 Jon Portnoy (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-16 09:50:08 UTC
The implementation strategy for ICC involves modifying Portage and (g)cc-config to properly handle ICC, which will avoid the need to alter individual ebuilds.

Unfortunately, the ICC devs in training disappeared, so we need a new ICC maintainer and implementor...

I'll take a look at gcc-config at some point. Maybe einride made some progress with that, I'll find him. But I don't have time to be "the ICC person."
