Description Martin Klaffenboeck 2003-12-16 05:35:09 UTC
Hello,

There is no problem, when I move the mouse cursor, but when I get a soldier (by changeing the view or a new game starts) I cannot move, the mouse and the Keyboard are closed somehow.

But Strg+Alt+F1 works to change to the Konsole.

In the game I cannot do anything, no fire, no move, no talk, nothing.

I get the following message when I start armyops from an xterm:

martin@martin martin $ armyops
Received invalid actor class
Signal: SIGTERM [terminate]
Requesting Exit.

Developer Backtrace:
[ 1] ./armyops-bin [0x8474841]
[ 2] /lib/libpthread.so.0 [0x4010c4d3]
[ 3] /lib/libc.so.6 [0x4019d348]
[ 4] ./openal.so(_alcDeviceWrite+0x65) [0x43754bf5]
[ 5] /lib/libc.so.6(__clone+0x5a) [0x402473aa]
Signal: SIGTERM [terminate]
Aborting.

(I did a killall armyops-bin to stop the program.) The libc.so.6 comes from glibc 2.3.3_pre20031212 which is a 2.3.2 with a patch to 2.3.3 glibc, and is current on gentoo systems, built with CFLAGS=march=athlon-tbird -02

I'm using americas-army-200 which is also current on gentoo systems. My system:
martin americas-army # uname -a
Linux martin.kleinerdrache.org 2.4.22-gentoo-r1 #2 SMP Mon Dec 15 20:41:23 CET 2003 i686 AMD Athlon(tm) Processor AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux

I will crosspost this bug here and on gentoos bug system. Maybe you know anything, just ask if there is some information missing.

Martin

Oh, last line: Should say, that this bug is crossposted also to http://forum.americasarmy.com/viewtopic.php?p=112459
Comment 2 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-01-14 11:58:15 UTC
Is this still the case with 2.0.0a?
Comment 3 Martin Klaffenboeck 2004-01-15 04:03:45 UTC
I had to delete my users .armyops200 directory, so that worked...
