The source URI: http://www.live555.com/liveMedia/public/live.2011.01.24.tar.gz now gives 404. There's now a http://www.live555.com/liveMedia/public/live.2011.03.14.tar.gz Also be advised that there's a http://www.live555.com/liveMedia/public/live555-latest.tar.gz symlink. If it's the upstream policy to remove old version, my suggestion is to make this a -9999 package and point the download URI to the aforementioned symlink.
1) Our mirrors seem to carry the source tarball just fine - adjust your GENTOO_MIRRORS variable accordingly. 2) Please paste your `emerge --info' output into a comment.
I'm not even sure it tried to download from a Gentoo mirror. I had to solve the issue so I just made a new ebuild and installed it. Today, I did an additional tree sync (I also did before reporting the bug...). Right now it appears that http://mirror.isoc.org.il/pub/gentoo/distfiles/live.2011.01.24.tar.gz - which is from the mirror I'm using does exist (don't know if it existed at that URL before...). ANYWAYS, even if it does exist on the mirrors, shouldn't be the URL in the ebuild, be correct? Just realized my problem was that my GENTOO_MIRRORS had an extra /distfiles/ in the end, which is why it failed downloading from a Gentoo mirror. :( The SRC_URI, however, is still invalid because the version had been dumped by upstream... you still might want to version bump. Changing Summary accordingly. Sorry for the confusion. :(
Fixed in CVS over a week ago.
