www-client/lynx-2.8.8_pre5 does not enable --use-externs that allows external programs to be executed for viewing URLs. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. unmask lynx 2.8.8_pre5 for ~amd64 2. emerge lynx 3. Configure lynx to utilize firefox for viewing URLs (see additional information) 4. Open a HTML page with lynx and navigate over a link 5.
