I use Konqueror 3.1.4. In order to use flash sites, I install gplflash-0.4.10-r3 with an "emerge gplflash". The installation runs properly and I have a /opt/netscape/plugins/npflash.so file. I lauch Konqueror, I add /opt/netscape/plugins in "search in folders" and I click "Research new externals plugins". Then, I have nothing about flash plugins in external plugins tab. I have tried several times and I have always this problem. But, if I install netscape-flash, all is ok... Strange, isn't it ? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge unmerge netscape-flash 2. emerge gplflash 3. Lauch Konqueror 4. If you need it, add "/opt/netscape/plugins" in "Search in folders" 5 Click on "Search for new plugins". 6. See in the tab "External plugins" if you have anything about flash... Actual Results: If you go on a flash web site, Konqueror said : "you need a flash plugin... etc..." and go on Macromedia site. Moreover, you don't have any information about the gplflash plugins in Konqueror... If you prefer Konqueror seems to do not detect the gplflash plugin. Expected Results: Read flash web sites like with netscape-flash package.
I also see this problem, although I don't know why this happens, may have to do with how plugins are found in Konqueror. Can you report this Bug either at http://bugs.kde.org/ or to the author of GPLFlash, please?
