Strange. I thought i canceled the submit to favor https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356831, as I am not certain wether the deadlocks are to be referred to phc-intel or not. I cleared this on https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356831. In the meanwhile, I successfully applied phc-linux-0.3.2-for-2.6.36.patch.tar.gz from http://www.linux-phc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=38&f=13 in a manual compile. Maybe this helps on the ebuild.
Comment 3 Michael Weber (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-01-07 14:59:35 UTC
This kernel is superseded by stable 2.6.39-r3, 3.0.6 and 3.1.6.

I could not reproduce the problem and haven't heard any reports for newer kernel.

Closing this till further information.
