The naming convention of this package is incorrect. I suggest the following: dev-dotnet/dbus-sharp --> dev-dotnet/ndesk-dbus dev-dotnet/dbus-glib-sharp --> dev-dotnet/ndesk-dbus-glib not only refers upstream to those packages like this, there is also another "problem" on the horizon. https://github.com/mono/dbus-sharp Is a fork based on ndesk, and actually calls itself "dbus-sharp". Projects like Docky moved to using this fork. So for the sake of order and against confusion please consider this name change. Reproducible: Always
Looks ok to me, but I need to have time for this at first (Have you think on becoming a Gentoo dev also like lxnay to help with dotnet stuff? ;-))
Tell me, if you need help with this or something, I already did this in my overlay to get docky's deps correctly.
If you have time for this, please go ahead and fix this in main tree. I fully agree with moving it... but didn't have time for it :-( Thanks a lot
If you are going to make the change you might also consider taking over the docky ebuild on our overlay? http://gitweb.sabayon.org/?p=overlay.git;a=commit;h=2707d3c6f7564cbd328d18493f50f2f1666619cd I seriously lack time (and knowledge) to help out the Gentoo dev team. But planning to help out in a near future. As you might understand I have my hands full maintaining the chroots for Sabayon. (o:
I was looking to gnome-do some time ago... but it behave so slowly on my machines that preferred to keep it out until some other dev that would use it toke care :-/
gnome-do -> docky
Everything moved. (In reply to comment #4) I'm maintaing an ebuild for it in my own overlay already (git.overlays.gentoo.org, dev/angelos) and I plan to add it to gentoo-x86 in the near future. Only blocker atm is that docky-2.1.1 has drawing problems with mono-2.10, but upstream is already notified. So I don't think we'll need it in overlays much longer.
