For some time reads 'app-admin/sudo' drop-in files from /etc/sudoers.d. My patch provides a file /etc/sudoers.d/vdr - see attachment...

Never i will touch the stable 0.4.6 for featurerequests! changed/fixed the "Summary" line maybe it is a candidat for next version of gentoo-vdr-scripts, need more info for the /etc/soudoers.d handling, looks like gentoo isn't support this from default, how should be the (default)content from the /etc/sudoers.d/vdr file then?

Just like this is enough, actually what the gentoo-vdr-scripts add in /etc/sudoers normally: vdr ALL=NOPASSWD:/usr/share/vdr/bin/vdrshutdown-really.sh I just stumbled upon this bug now when we are at gentoo-vdr-scripts-0.4.9 already and wanted only to get rid of the message from the ebuild and pre-start-50-shutdown.sh. My patch does basically the same in pre-start-50-shutdown.sh, the point is, if the relevant entry is present anywhere in a file read by sudo, the shutdown scripts will just work.
Created attachment 291549 [details, diff] alternate patch to pre-start-50-shutdown.sh This variant does not demand that the file under /etc/sudoers.d is necessarily called "vdr", it could be called anything as long as it contains the magic entry.
Created attachment 291551 [details, diff] ebuild patch sudoers warning and epatch_user Joerg, please consider also adapting the warning in the ebuild, and also calling epatch_user like in this patch, in a future version.
added to gentoo-vdr-scripts-0.5.1 entry in /etc/sudoers is depricated emerge --config gentoo-vdr-scripts needed!
