Description Mike Gilbert gentoo-dev 2011-02-19 23:15:51 UTC
Upstream has removed it from the blacklist (see url).
Comment 1 Mike Gilbert gentoo-dev 2011-02-19 23:21:17 UTC
Per upstream bug comments, we still need the gecko-mediaplayer[gnome] blocker.

Patch dropped in my overlay.

Comment 2 Paweł Hajdan, Jr. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-02-22 07:55:55 UTC
I think we should keep gecko-mediaplayer USE flag, and provide a new revision of the patch that would add gecko-mediaplayer to the blacklist when it is built with gconf support.
Comment 3 Julien Sanchez archtester 2011-02-22 10:42:11 UTC
Perhaps blacklisting is no more necessary, I removed gecko-mediaplayer[gnome] block and I have no problem with gecko-mediaplayer with gnome USE (gconf)

I tried with http://www.bfmtv.com/rub/live/14/home/live/ and checked about:plugins. (Fully works and no freeze)

Thank you. We have a known problem with gecko-mediaplayer on Gentoo (bug #351123). Does it reproduce for you? (please comment in bug #351123, not here)

Wrong bug. Try bug 355405.
Comment 9 Julien Sanchez archtester 2011-03-02 07:38:30 UTC
gecko-mediaplayer[gnome] blocker and chromium-gecko-mediaplayer patch have been removed from chromium-9999-r1. Upstream bug is closed.

As said in comment #3, everything is ok (except for specific bug #351123).
This bug could be set as fixed.
