SSL connections don't work in 0.8.6.  Please mark 0.8.8 stable which fixes the problem.  Thanks!

Greg, you missed the point.  0.8.6 doesn't support SSL... it's broken.  0.8.8 (which you now removed from portage despite that it had been testing as ~arch for a couple weeks at least) supports SSL correctly.  Please do one of the following:

1. Mark 0.8.9 stable if you're comfortable with that

2. Put 0.8.8-r1 back in portage and mark it stable

The point is that we need a STABLE version of irssi that supports SSL

0.8 was removed because it has a remote crash but, 0.8.9 can't be marked stable until we get an ok from seemant

0.8.9 has been marked ~testing long enough... marking stable and closing this bug.
