Description Jelmer Jaarsma 2003-12-10 05:26:22 UTC
I have an Asus A7N8X Deluxe motherboard which has an integrated SATA RAID controller from Silicon Image (specifically: the 3112).
It is known not to work with the current SiI driver included with the kernel. An updated driver can be found on http://www.infowares.com/linux/
Would it be possible to add this driver to the LiveCD?

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Booted of the gentoo livecd basic with the doataraid option
2.
3.

Actual Results:
It did not recognise the controller

Expected Results:
It should have detected the controller and found my raid 0 array.

my Abit NF7-S with the same chip worked fine with ataraid on the basic livecd from august or september. Don't remember which one now.

This should be fixed on next release with 2.4.24 and 2.6 kernels
