portage provides net-wireless/rtl8192su-firmware ebuild but no related kernel driver seems available.

this driver is needed for a lot of wireless devices, such as:
# lsusb
...
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0bda:8172 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8191S WLAN Adapter

"The r8192s_usb driver has been dropped in favor of r8712u"

but r8712u seems no available in gentoo-sources (2.6.36-gentoo-r7).
only "Realtek 8187 and 8187B USB support" exists.

I've found the RTL8192SU driver in staging drivers.
