Version 0.87.1 has been released and according to the release notes, this bug has been fixed. http://shutter-project.org/2011/03/new-bugfix-release-0871/ Unfortunately, it looks like a new dependency on the Gtk2::Unique module has been introduced and there is currently no ebuild for this module in portage.
