www-plugins/adobe-flash-10.2.152.27_p201011173 was built with the following:
USE="32bit -64bit (-multilib) -nspluginwrapper -vdpau"
Comment 1 Nick Novikov 2011-02-11 04:16:40 UTC
Confirmed on ~x86.

Portage fails to unpack rpm file, ignores that and doesn't install any actual file in /opt:

>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking flash-plugin-10.2.152.27-release.i386.rpm to /var/tmp/portage/www-plugins/adobe-flash-10.2.152.27_p201011173/work
unpack flash-plugin-10.2.152.27-release.i386.rpm: file format not recognized. Ignoring.
>>> Source unpacked in /var/tmp/portage/www-plugins/adobe-flash-10.2.152.27_p201011173/work
>>> Preparing source in /var/tmp/portage/www-plugins/adobe-flash-10.2.152.27_p201011173/work ...
Comment 2 Mike Auty (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-02-11 11:16:57 UTC
Ok, this appears to be because the 32-bit download URI is still an rpm (the release RPM, in fact), whereas the 64-bit one is a tar.gz.

In this version, the rpm eclass has been removed and the unpack method overridden (hence the 32-bit version not unpacking), but also the support for where the files are stored within the rpm has been removed (and some ebuild vars from the previous ebuild need changing from PV to PV_REL).

I'm not going to post a patched up ebuild because this is a security bump, and it may be that there is a newer 32-bit tar.gz which I haven't found yet. This is just to provide a clear description of what's causing the issue.
Comment 3 Jim Ramsay (lack) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-02-11 13:32:34 UTC
Thanks, my mistake... I was trying to be too clever on short notice. I'll get this fixed right away.
Comment 4 Jim Ramsay (lack) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-02-11 13:45:28 UTC
Okay, fixed! Not rev-bumping since you'll just have to try again once the ebuild makes it to your rsync mirror.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

(Leaving this bug open for a day or two so it's easier for users to find)
Comment 5 Jim Ramsay (lack) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-02-11 13:54:47 UTC
Revbumped instead on suggestion by Mike.

This is fixed in www-plugins/adobe-flash-10.2.152.27_p201011173-r1
Comment 6 Jim Ramsay (lack) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-02-14 19:18:24 UTC
Okay, it's now 3 days later. Hopefully everyone who was going to hit this bug has since hit it, resynced, and moved on. Marking fixed.
