"Lanmap2 is a program that passively listens for any activity on your network connection, and creates an image of the network components it managed to discover." This is not a request to remove net-misc/lanmap from Portage (like http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=343889). That was the original version of lanmap that is abandoned but still works (http://www.parseerror.com/lanmap/) This "bug" is an ebuild request for lanmap2, the complete rewrite. What?
> What? Perhaps I didn't describe the ebuild request very well. I'm not requesting a re-write of the net-misc/lanmap ebuild, but rather am requesting a new ebuild for the new "lanmap2" program.

Without upstream providing proper releases, this is not likely to get packaged anywhere.

(In reply to Michael Palimaka (kensington) from comment #7) > Without upstream providing proper releases, this is not likely to get > packaged anywhere. Still no release at the new [URL].
Last release was 2014. I think its time to close this one. Sad but true.
