After downloading file from website to comply with fetch restriction, the package still does not install. This is likely because the file needed to be renamed to comply with what the install package is looking for. The install package is looking for GotoBLAS2-1.13.tar.gz, but the file is named GotoBLAS2-1.13_bsd.tar.gz. The checksum fails and the package does not install. Reproducible: Always
There is atom named "sci-libs/gotoblas2" in Portage.

It is in the Bicatali overlay. Sorry if this was posted incorrectly in that case (first time bug reporter). There is a package in portage called sci-libs/blas-goto, which is for the same thing and is also outdated due to download issues.
this should be fixed in my overlay.
(In reply to comment #4) > this should be fixed in my overlay. I may have missed something but there seems to be an error in the download url: >>> Emerging (1 of 1) sci-libs/gotoblas2-1.13 from bicatali >>> Downloading 'http://distfiles.gentoo.org/distfiles/GotoBLAS2-1.13_bsd.tar.gz' --2011-02-26 15:44:46-- http://distfiles.gentoo.org/distfiles/GotoBLAS2-1.13_bsd.tar.gz Resolving distfiles.gentoo.org... 137.226.34.42, 140.211.166.134, 149.20.20.135, ...
