Description Mike 2011-02-05 21:33:58 UTC
With a brand new install of empathy, empathy-accounts seg faults and crashes on start-up. Empathy was installed with the debug, networkmanager, and spell use flags enabled. Recompiling with FEATURES="-distcc" had no effect.

Running empathy-accounts

$ empathy-accounts
Segmentation fault
$

Output from gdb

(gdb) run
Starting program: /usr/bin/empathy-accounts
[Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled]

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
0xb728c30f in dbus_connection_send_with_reply_and_block ()
   from /usr/lib/libdbus-1.so.3
(gdb)

Reproducible: Always

emerge -pv empathy

looks like you have a problem with dbus. Did you update dbus or dbus-glib or glib recently ? If any of this, please rebuild all applications depending on dbus-glib and dbus-glib (equery depends dbus-glib).

I did, and re-emerging all of dbus-glib's depends fixed the problem. Thanks!
