Description Aljoscha Vollmerhaus 2011-02-02 13:58:17 UTC
When I connect to rdp servers, my keyboard layout is kind of messed up, using xfreerdp -k de {...} .

freerdp says: (among other things)
sh: setxkbmap: command not found

manually emerged setxkbmap, worked like a charm.
net-misc/freerdp should depend on x11-apps/setxkbmap.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge freerdp
2. connect to rdp server using xfreerdp -k [somelayout], say xfreerdp -k de
3. try to use the keyboard

Actual Results:
keyboard layout messed up.
Letters did work, however special chars like @ did not. (using "de" layout)

Expected Results:
fully functional keyboard

I ran into this myself, just forgot to file the bug.

Could you please report it upstream?

http://www.freerdp.com/

I don't use this program at the moment so I cannot reproduce it
Comment 3 Aljoscha Vollmerhaus 2011-02-22 13:31:22 UTC
This is a bug in the freerdp-0.8.2.ebuild, it should state a dependance on x11-apps/setxkbmap. There is nothing upstream (namely, the freerdp project) could do about that.

Oh sorry I misunderstood the bug. Fixed
