Description Dirk Tilger 2011-02-02 10:35:38 UTC
htdocs/templates/ja_purity/params.ini can be edited from the administrative interface and is a template configuration file for the ja_purity theme.

The file should be copied instead of hard-linked (otherwise it interferes with other vhosts) and be server-owned (to be writable).

Reproducible: Didn't try

The patch fixes the issue in /usr/share/webapps/joomla/1.5.22 for me.

Even more files.

As with the previous patch all these files are editable from the web-interface. The patches are to be applied after each other.

just re-assign, I'd let maintainer decide if this bug is valid or not..

Joomla 1.5 is no longer supported by upstream and has been removed from portage. Further, this changes upstream files, so this fix should be submitted to upstream if I understand correctly.

It does not change upstream files. It reconfigures webapp-config files so upstream files can behave as intended.

But after 3.5a it's not that important anymore. ;-)

Would you like your patches applied to 3.3.3 ?

Personally I don't use Joomla anymore, so I'm not sure if the issue still exists. If the files still exist it may be a good idea to make them server-writable for those users that still use the software.

OK, so I am making some progress on this. However, the ja_purity files do not appear to be distributed with Joomla 3.3.3. What would you like me to do?

The patches are about being able to edit this files directly from Joomla, if one is missing, I'd ignore it.

All right, here is what I have so far.

The templates that are installed in version 3.3.3 are beez3, protostar, and system. They do not have params.ini files any more. And it isn't really appropriate to protect the index.php file or the css files, because those should be updated by new versions, right?

And then as far as the serverowned files, that part is already being done correctly in the present ebuild.

Closing. No longer relevant.
