Description Max Nokhrin 2011-01-31 18:29:02 UTC
We've done testing on the haru USE flag in the PHP overlay (bug 249443), and as haru has been committed to main tree, I wanted to ask for the haru USE flag to be added to the main tree as well. At present, here are the main tree USE flags available for php (amd64):

[ebuild R ] dev-lang/php-5.3.5-r1 USE="apache2 bzip2 cli crypt ctype curl exif fileinfo ftp gd hash iconv imap ipv6 json mysqli mysqlnd nls pdo pic posix session simplexml soap sockets ssl threads tokenizer truetype unicode xml xmlreader xmlwriter xsl zip zlib (-adabas) -bcmath -berkdb (-birdstep) -calendar -cdb -cgi -cjk -curlwrappers -db2 (-dbmaker) -debug -doc -embed (-empress) (-empress-bcs) -enchant (-esoob) -filter (-firebird) -flatfile -fpm (-frontbase) -gd-external -gdbm -gmp -inifile -interbase -intl -iodbc -kerberos -kolab -ldap -ldap-sasl -libedit -mhash -mssql -mysql -oci8 -oci8-instant-client -odbc -pcntl -phar -postgres -qdbm -readline -recode -sapdb -sharedext -sharedmem -snmp (-solid) -spell -sqlite -sqlite3 -suhosin (-sybase-ct) -sysvipc -tidy -wddx -xmlrpc -xpm" 0 kB

Thanks!

I'm not sure why haru needs to be a use flag to dev-lang/php. The installation instructions I found pointed to this being installed like any other pecl ebuild. Therefore I assume this bug should be about moving the ebuild to gentoo-x86. Please tell otherwise.

CC:ing php-herd since they probably want to add this when they have time. Have a look at bug 249443 for inclusion to the php overlay.

Also, Nax Nokhrin: The ebuild found in the php overlay looks outdated. Could you perhaps verify that the latest version (2.2.1) works as intended and attach an ebuild to this ticket?
Comment 3 Ole Markus With (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-02-01 16:24:18 UTC
We are migrating all dev-php5 packages to dev-php. Once that is done, we'll do a sweep over maintainer-wanted for php ebuilds and add those that we consider to be low maintainence, such as pecl ebuilds where all the deps are already in place.

Cheers!

Forgive my utter ignorance, but I'm not too good at ebuilds yet. I've done testing previously of the pecl-haru ebuild from the overlay (one referenced by bug 249443), and all was working properly with libharu-2.2.1. The latest version of pecl-haru is 1.0.0, which ebuild is outdated?

I'm terribly sorry – somehow mixed up libharu with pecl-haru. You're entirely correct and this ebuild should be set to go.

No problem Johan, I was confused about this double-package requirement at first myself!
Comment 7 Ole Markus With (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-01-26 09:06:29 UTC
This package is now in portage.

Thanks!
