The KDE filetypes in libreoffice (the *.desktop files installed in /usr/share/applications/) are wrong because they still have the old openoffice.org names for the applications (oocalc instead of localc, oowriter instead of lowriter, etc.). These should be fixed for correct association of files to application. As it stands if I click on an .ods file in KDE it fails with "KDEInit couldn't start <<oocalc>>: Could not find 'oocalc' executable" (backtranslated from italian, so it may not be the exact wording of the english version). same problem here with gnome. -file associations and gnome-menu is wrong: -"Libreoffice Writer" (and writer files (.odt) link to "loffice", what should be now "libreoffice" Other Libreoffice Menu entries or Documents, like those for Impress and Calc link to OpenOffice "oo{impress,calc] executables
