which build log do you need? the libreoffice-bin one? it's binary
or the oxygen-gtk one?

Comment 7 Franz Trischberger 2011-02-02 11:00:34 UTC
The problem is, that the kde-integration installed by the kde-integration-rpm depends on kde3/qt3:

$ ldd /usr/lib/libreoffice/basis3.3/program/kdebe1.uno.so
        linux-gate.so.1 =>  (0xb7805000)
        libkdeui.so.4 => not found
        libkdecore.so.4 => not found
        libqt-mt.so.3 => not found
        libkio.so.4 => not found
[...]

libqt-mt does not exist within qt4, which is modular - its qt3.
kde-libs in kde4 are versioned with "5", those "4" are kde3-libs!

Could it be there is a seperate kde4-integration-pack? I found a libreoffice-kde4-rpm for opensuse.

And again we return to that same bug OpenOffice.org, which is that for several years now migrating from version to version. That OOo does not work with USE = "kde", or does not compile with it. I think that visitors to this bug can easily find like this one bugs. It remains to find out: Who is to blame and what to do?

This is not a forum, please focus on things that actually help in solving a bug. That said: There are undeniably still lots of possibilities to improve KDE-support in LibreOffice / OpenOffice.org, I guess the upstream devs would be very thankful for helping them out, especially with code. So feel free to join them.
Comment 10 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-02-10 21:34:43 UTC
I'm sorry to say that it seems like upstream did not build their packages with kde4 support, see:

http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/libreoffice/2011-February/007578.html

for reference. Unfortunately this also means that there is nothing we can do to fix it other than hope for the next release. I've mentioned our interest in kde4-support5 on the mailing list.

As we really can't do anything here: Closing
