Description tdias 2011-01-24 13:26:02 UTC
Everytime my Gnome starts with low resolution.
My xorg.conf's subsection "Display" is set to (only) 1280x800 mode. But it still starting with 1024x780 pixels.

Always I have to fix it manually

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
Gnome starts with 1024x780 screen resolution.

Expected Results:
Start Gnome with 1280x800 screen resolution.

Do you use any display manager? (gdm, kdm...) How is resolution on them before you login in gnome? How does it behave on a new created user account with a "fresh" home?

I use GDM as display manager and the resolution is correct in login window. In the other accounts it behaves the same way.

I've created other user, I'll reboot the system and try it.

Thanks
