Description Stefan de Konink 2011-01-23 20:49:55 UTC
I have recently upgraded several systems to xfce-meta-4.8. The right click desktop menu delays on all systems x86/amd64 at least 1.5s after click. This must be common for more people.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. upgrade xfce4
2. rightclick on desktop

I had also noticed it in 4.6, thought it was normal.

Looking again, yes, seems to be a bit worse.
Comment 3 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-01-23 22:46:43 UTC
The menu handling was rewritten (from libxfce4menu to garcon). I suggest you get some data to back that claim of delay (got no delay here) and move this to upstream bugzilla instead:

Define some data? Screencapture?
