Description Larry Coker 2011-01-17 21:12:04 UTC
After updating I noticed that fonts were not rendering properly in any applications. If I downgrade the kernel to sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-2.6.32-r24 the problem disappears. It occurs under the following versions 2.6.35.r15, 2.6.26-r5 and 2.6.37. This occurs with various fonts including but not limited to DejaVu-Serif
Attaching screenshot of problem

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open application and view fonts
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Fonts not displayed correctly

Comment 5 Ben Kohler gentoo-dev 2013-06-14 15:11:20 UTC
Is this still a problem with current xorg-server / xf86-video-intel / kernel?
Comment 6 Larry Coker 2013-06-21 17:34:38 UTC
The problem appears to have gone away with kernel 3.8.13, xorg-server 1.13.4 and xf86-video-intel 2.20.13
